One person was taken to a local hospital for possible smoke inhalation injuries and one floor sustained smoke damage.
Firefighters had to call in tanker trucks and set up large portable water tanks because water pressure was low from a massive water main break earlier in the afternoon at Keowee Street and Monument Avenue in Dayton.

The Biltmore Towers was evacuated, but some residents sheltered in place. The building is for seniors and the elevators could not be used during the fire.
Biltmore Towers, on the National Register of Historic Places, is the former Dayton Biltmore hotel, where Boeing engineers during a weekend in October 1948 drafted a redesign of what became the B-52 Stratofortress after consulting with officials at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
